Guests having fun following health and safety rules on a Taste of Toulouse food tour

Creating a safe – and fun – experience for everyone!

The continuation of the COVID-19 pandemic has taught us that we have no choice but to learn to live differently. We believe that it is possible to maintain the proper health standards to keep everyone safe – while still having a great time!

To that end, we are continuing to offer our award-winning food tours as long as local regulations and the current health situation permit.

Also, in this period of significant economic turmoil, local artisans and producers need our support more than ever. We are happy to be able to continue to highlight them during our food tours.

Status as of August 6, 2021:

As of August 9, all guests on our tours will be required to have proof of vaccination, a negative COVID test, or proof of recovery from COVID. See below for details.

We want to explain our policies regarding health, safety, and trip flexibility and answer any questions you may have. Our tours might look a bit different, but we’re confident you’re going to love them all the same!

What You Need to Know About Tour Safety with Us

NEW AS OF AUGUST 9: Health pass.

Due to the nature of our tours and the locations we visit, we will require that all guests meet the criteria for the French health pass (pass sanitaire) starting August 9, 2021. Guests must have proof of either: a completed vaccination schedule (plus the mandated waiting period after the second vaccination: 7 days for Pfizer/Moderna, 4 weeks for J&J); a negative PCR or antigen test taken within the last 48 hours before the tour; or a positive PCR test dated between 11 days and 6 months as proof of having recovered from COVID. We will ask for proof at the start of the tour. For the moment, proof can be provided in the form of the French, EU, or UK digital health pass (QR code in digital or paper form) or the paper vaccination record from your home country if you were vaccinated outside the EU. This may be subject to change based on current rules. If you cannot show one of the approved documents, you will not be allowed on the tour, as we will be going to locations that you will not be allowed to enter! Your guide has also been fully vaccinated with an EU-approved vaccine and carries the electronic vaccine passport. If you’re curious what it looks like, just ask to see it!

100% Refund Policy.

We have always and will continue to honor a 100% refund policy in regards to COVID-19 cancellations. When you book with us, you don’t have to worry. You can choose between a full refund or a voucher towards a future tour that locks in the current price so you’ll never pay more when you rebook.

No Hassle Booking and Cancellation.

You can always cancel or change your booking with a simple email up to 24 hours before your scheduled tour. If you need to cancel after that point and it’s COVID-19 related, let us know. We want everyone to stay safe, so if you feel symptoms coming on or recently came in contact with someone who has COVID, please stay home.

Smaller Group Sizes.

We’ve reduced our already small group sizes even further – to 6 people MAX on public tours. We also offer the option of a private tour, if you are not comfortable participating with people outside your household. We allow groups of more than 6 on our private tours.

Symptom-free.

For the safety of our guests, guide, and community, we ask guests who exhibit symptoms that have been linked with COVID-19 (fever, cough, trouble breathing) or who have been in contact with someone with the disease in the last 14 days not to join the tour. Please contact us immediately if you have the least doubt about whether you should participate. Your guide also commits to following current French medical guidance as relates to self-isolation in the event of contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID.

Mandatory mask-wearing.

In accordance with local regulations, we require that our guests bring their own masks and wear them covering nose and mouth when indoors or in outdoor areas where distancing isn’t possible – except when we’re eating and drinking, of course!

Distancing.

We ask guests to maintain a one meter distance between themselves – and others – on our tours when possible.

Sanitation.

Hand sanitizer will be available to guests at all times during the tour and we encourage frequent use – especially before eating. Your guide will also be disinfecting their hands and surfaces frequently.

Individual Servings.

Tastings will be portioned out individually for each guest and handed directly to them by the guide or server. Guests will not be sharing off the same plate.

Paperless Tours.

Our tours have always been paperless and we’re reinforcing that commitment! When you pay online and receive your confirmation via email, there’s no need to print your tickets. After each tour, we’ll send you an email packed full of information about all of the places we went and the things we tasted, as well as recommendations and any other resources and information that we talked about during the tour.

Our local partners take health and safety seriously, too.

If you have any questions or comments regarding our COVID-19 policies, please feel free to email me at jessica@tasteoftoulouse.com. Thank you for your support and cooperation during this time. We look forward to welcoming you back in Toulouse soon!

À bientôt,

Jessica - Taste of Toulouse
